A demanding twist on the classic Buraco game, Buraco Fechado is a variant that falls under the Rummy genre, specifically within the Canasta family. The primary objective involves forming melds of cards with identical ranks and sequences of matching suits. Specifically, combinations consisting of seven cards or more are referred to as Buracos.
Originally designed for two teams of four players each, Buraco Fechado can also be adapted for one-on-one gameplay. Noteworthy in this particular version is the essential requirement of possessing suitable card combinations to seize control of the discard pile.
